Frequently Asked Cabinetry Questions:

We don't have a design for our kitchen cabinetry. Can you help us with that?
Yes, we certainly can. Please see our Frequently Asked Design Questons for more information on our design services.

Do you just build kitchen cabinets?
At McIntosh & Tuttle Cabinetmakers, we pride ourselves on being able to build just about anything you might want. While we are extremely proud of our kitchen cabinetry, we are also very capable builders of bathroom vanities, storage units, tub surrounds, butler's pantries, mantles, fireplace surrounds, wine cellars, bookcases, wall paneling, wainscotting, ceiling beams and our own line fine furniture. Please see our Virtual Showroom to get a better idea of the range of our skills.

In what style is your cabinetry built?

We build whatever style you want. From traditional to contemporary, from simple to complex, the choice is yours. We are here to help you make your style happen.

What type of finish do you use on your cabinetry?

Our paint-grade cabinetry is sprayed with a pigmented lacquer primer on all exterior and visible areas. Cabinet interiors are sprayed with a clear lacquer finish. For our clear, or "bright", cabinetry all surfaces are sprayed with a clear lacquer finish. Our pigmented lacquer can be tinted to a half-tone for easier coverage with the final coat of paint, and is compatable with all latex and oil topcoats. Our clear lacquer finish provides a durable and attractive finish with ultraviolet protection that helps reduce color changes over time.

What does your cabinetry cost?

That question is a liitle harder to answer, but let me explain the process of determining the cost of your project.

If design plans already exist for your project, we can often discuss them with you at an initial meeting and have enough information to provide an estimate of cost to you. If design plans do not exist for your project, a design will need to be produced so that an estimate of cost can then be generated. Please see our Design page and the Frequently Asked Design Questions for more information on both the design process and on pricing.

Will I be charged sales tax?
You will not be charged sales tax for cabinetry that is to be installed into a residence or business as a permanent addition to the structure.

How do I start the cabinetry process?

Simply give us a call at 1-800-980-1395 (Monday through Friday 8:00 to 4:30) or email us (from the Contact Us page) and we can discuss and schedule an initial meeting to discuss your project.
